Taylor Fritz breaks silence after his US Open final loss to Jannik Sinner

Taylor Fritz rightfully remains upbeat after his US Open dreams were crushed by world number one Jannik Sinner.

Fritz noticed a big improvement from Sinner during their US Open final clash, which the Italian top seed won under the lights at Arthur Ashe Stadium.

Sinner defeated 12th seed Fritz 6-3, 6-4, 7-5 in New York to clinch his second career Grand Slam title, having won the Australian Open at the beginning of 2024.

But it was the furthest the American had ever gone at a Grand Slam, much to his delight and indeed those watching on in New York.

Fritz thinks he can reach another level after the run, during which he beat the likes of Alexander Zverev and Casper Ruud.

“Thank you for all the incredible love and support over the past two weeks, it made it all even more special.”
