In addition to record viewership, the Honey Deuce cocktail also saw record sales at the 2024 US Open. The cocktail, made with vodka, lemonade, raspberry liqueur, and honeydew melon balls resembling tennis balls, are sold for $23 each, generating a total of $12.8 million. At the 2023 US Open, 460,000 Honey Deuces were sold, fetching $10.1 million. After the numbers were released, Nassar sarcastically replied to a post made by an X (formerly Twitter) user on Thursday that highlighted the figures and compared them to the men’s and women’s winners and runner-ups, who took home a combined $10.8 million in prize money.
“”Incredible” [quoting the tweet] is one way to describe it… “pathetic” is another,” Nassar said.
