Jannik Sinner returns home after the US Open, and is immediately involved in a wonderful surprise. The South Tyrolean, current number 1 in the ATP world ranking that he obviously confirmed after the feat of Flushing Meadows, has returned to Brunico and will spend a few days of absolute rest in Sesto Pusteria. The welcome of his Alto Adige, however, has given something unexpected.
As Sinner himself wanted to document on Instagram, his afternoon in Brunico had among the most significant stages an unscheduled visit to a local football school. Great enthusiasm for the children, who interrupted their training by chatting at length with the champion and celebrating his unexpected presence in the middle
Returning from a very intense period, both on and off the pitch, Jannik Sinner needs to recharge his batteries and he will do so in the places where he was born and raised, where he can live his daily life in a simple and peaceful way. Many other challenges await him, including the ATP Finals and more.
After his short period of rest, in fact, he will prepare for the next official commitment, namely the ATP 500 in Beijing, scheduled for September 26. A tournament that he won last year and that, therefore, he must honor to the best of his ability. Clearly, his hope (and that of all Italians) is that Italy qualifies for the Davis Cup finals in November. Sinner will be there 100%.
